Friction stir welding line for Outer housing of EV car
At the beginning of 2023, Vietnam Industrial Services and Solutions Joint Stock Company (VISC) was selected to become a supplier of processing solutions for parts of electric vehicle engine covers to meet an output of 120,000 products/year. VISC has used, calculated, analyzed and researched friction welding technology to come up with the most accurate welding parameters to ensure that the welded product meets the quality required by customers. VISC has researched and built a friction welding line with 5 main processes:
- Put the product into the processing machine using the automatic gantry system
- Processing machines process products
- Wash products with automatic washing robot system and vacuum (after washing)
- Assemble parts using assembly machines designed and manufactured by VISC
- Friction welding of parts using a friction welding machine
Technological Solution
VISC uses friction welding technology integrated with robotic automation technology to ensure welds are free of porosity and air leakage, meeting customer requirements.
